In order for your device to connect successfully to iONLINE’s APN solution on android device, you are required to change the APN profile information on the device.
In this guide we will be connecting to iONLINE default APN (ion.otm) You are required to use your APN name if you do not use the default ion.otm APN which is chosen when purchasing the APN solution from us.
NB: Please have the correct APN Details on hand for the specific Simcard you will be using.
- Navigate to your settings icon on your home screen or you can scroll down and access your settings via the main window.
- In Settings Click on Connections.
In Connections tap on "Mobile Networks”
- Click on "Access Point Names" in the Mobile networks tab.
5. In Access Point Names select "+" or "Add”.
6. In "Edit Access Point" We are going to fill in the Name and APN section. In the "Name" section enter in a profile name. We called ours “ion.otm” but it can be anything.
Under "APN" enter in your APN Address. iONLINE’s Default APN is “ion.otm” however If you have your own APN with us, please use the APN address given to you or contact your IT Administrator to get the correct APN Name.
Save the settings, then tap the radio button next to the new APN profile to set it as active.
You have successfully setup the unit to connect to your APN.
